All Blacks to leave Irish green with envy
New Zealand take on Ireland at Croke Park on Saturday.
Ireland have never beaten the All Blacks and it would take a brave man to suggest that on Saturday this unwanted record will be broken.
Last week Ireland were rampant against Canada but of course this will be a far stiffer test.
New Zealand on the other hand were quite convincing against Scotland and this was without many first choice players.
Rather ominously Graham Henry has recalled all those that were rested last week.
If a mainly second choice line-up can win by 32-6 against Scotland surely a just as big defeat awaits Ireland, notwithstanding that the Irish are a better side than the Scots.
Therefore the world's best side have to be backed at 10/11 to defy Ireland's 13 point start on the handicap.
Irish captain Brian O'Driscoll plays in his 50th Test on Saturday and it would be fitting if he could score a try and odds of 11/4 certainly appeal.
