Wasps to sting Newcastle
On Friday night London Wasps travel to Kingston Park to play Newcastle Falcons in a Guinness Premiership clash, live on Sky Sports 1.
Wasps won last year’s Grand Final but have endured a miserable start to the new Guinness Premiership season, winning just one match out of seven so far.
Wasps’ sole victory was away to Leicester back in September, in a repeat of the Grand Final. Their poor results mean they find themselves second from bottom, one place and one point behind the Falcons.
Due to the Autumn Tests, Wasps have been missing many players in recent weeks, and this continues as seven of England’s 22 for the match against New Zealand on Saturday play for the Londoners.
Newcastle have lost their last five matches in all competitions and therefore despite their absentees Wasps look good value to come away from Newcastle with the points at odds of 4/6.
The two sides met earlier in the season at Kingston Park in the EDF Energy Cup with Wasps running out 26-13 winners. In the last seven meetings between the sides, Wasps have won six of the matches.
The handicap gives Newcastle a two point start with both sides available at 10/11 and the draw at 14/1.
