You bet we are part of the United KIngdom of Wales

William Hill are able to confirm reports that the vast majority of the UK have become Wales supporters ahead of the Semi Final against France. As of midday Friday, over 80% of the total bets in the book are for Wales. Almost 99% of bets in Wales have been for Wales, whilst 85% of bets in England are for Wales with both Scotland & Northern Ireland coming in at almost 90%. The latest prediction is that over a million pounds could change hands throughout the course of the match and should Wales go on to win the World Cup then Hills predict that the industry could be redistributing £10,000,000 to Wales fans.

Wales are the 4/5 favourites to win their Semi, with France pushed out from 11/10 to 6/5 and the handicap is now +2 from +1 for les Bleus. The public are putting their faith in Shane Williams to cross the try line and he is 5/2 to score a try in the match. But despite all the support for Wales, the vast majority of bets suggest it will be a tight affair with a Wales victory of between 1-10 points the preferred bet at 2/1.

"We are seeing a surge of support for Wales and it is one of those rare occasions where the gamble transcends geographical boundaries. Needless to say we will probably be some of the only French supporters in the country," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.

Wales Manager Warren Gatland is a 66/1 outsider to become the next England manager.
