Neil Robertson won the williamhill.com UK Championship after fighting back from 5-1 down to wrestle the title from last year's winner Mark Selby by a score of 10 frames to seven.
Robertson was an 8/1 shot at the start of the tournament while Selby was 9/1 and William Hill have now cut the odds of the Aussie winning the World Championships from 8/1 to 13/2 making him second favourite behind Ronnie O'Sullivan (7/2) and just ahead of Ding Junhui (15/2).
"We have had a fantastic 13 days here at the York Barbican and in terms of turnover this has been our best ever snooker tournament," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. "It seems that fans, players and punters alike really got into the spirit of things here in York."
