Premier League Snooker - table, fixtures and results
The fast and furious version of snooker, the Premier League, is back. This year is the 24th running of this prestigious event and features seven of the world's best players as six of the world's top ten are taking part.
Leading the line-up is of course world number one Ronnie O'Sullivan. The Rocket is an eight-time winner of this tournament including winning it the last five years, the three-time World Champion looks well set to make it six in a row.
The six contenders for Ronnie's crown are led by current World Champion John Higgins. The Scot won this way back in 1999 and he is also a three-time runner-up - in 2002, 2004 and 2007. In two of the finals he was defeated by the cue maestro O'Sullivan.
Shaun Murphy was beaten by Higgins in this year's World Championship final so he will be hoping to avenge that loss at The Crucible as he takes part in his first Premier League since 2005.
Marco Fu also returns to this illustrious event after his great form last season saw him shoot up to number eight in the world rankings. Seven-time World Champion Stephen Hendry yet again takes part. The Scot has won the Premier League six times, but the last of those victories was back in 2004.
Aussie Neil Robertson makes his second Premier League appearance while Judd Trump will hope to perform on the big stage after all his ward work in qualifying for the event by winning the Championship League.
The players face each other once throughout the season. There are two games on each Premier League night, with the exception of the last round robin night on 19 November in Llandudno. Each match is contested over six thrilling frames making the draw a very real possibility. One point is the reward for a draw and the players pick up two for a win.
After the conclusion of the round robin stage the top four players move into the play-offs, where first faces fourth and second plays third for places in the Premier League final.
Here at William Hill we will be offering a range of markets both pre-match and in-play on every single Premier League match as well as the outright market, which will be revised throughout the tournament.
