William Hill lengthen John Higgins world title odds
Following confirmation of John Higgins' suspension from snooker, William Hill have lengthened his 2011 World Championship odds from 9/1 to 10/1.
'John will have to decide whether his appetite for the sport remains as keen following the suspension and fine imposed on him - he could return to the fray determined to prove he is still a serious title contender or he could lose some motivation. We've pushed his price out slightly on the basis that it remains to be seen how his game will stand up when he comes back' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
The 2009 world champion has been cleared of all match-fixing allegations made against him. At a hearing on Wednesday, he admitted bringing the game into disrepute and was fined £75,000 and banned for six months, backdated to May when he was originally suspended meaning he will return in November this year.
