All Nadal Wimbledon bets to be refunded
Rafael Nadal's withdrawal from Wimbledon may be bad for spectators but it's not a problem for William Hill customers as all bets are to be refunded.
The sad news that Nadal will be unable to defend his Wimbledon crown due to a recurring knee injury was not wholly unexpected as lingering fitness concerns had seen the world number one drift out to 7/2 (from 13/8 pre-French Open).
Despite these concerns William Hill is pleased to announce that all ante-post outright bets on Nadal will be refunded, while we're making him a non-runner in multiple bets.*
This has led to several noteworthy big market moves including new French open champion Roger Federer who has shortened from Thursday's price of 11/10 right down to 8/11.
Andy Murray, who was due to face Nadal in the semi-final, has also had his odds slashed from 5/2 on Thursday in to 15/8.
The other big movers are Andy Roddick, 25/1 in to 14/1 and Juan Martin del Potro, 25/1 in to 18/1.
Don't worry though, not all prices have shortened as Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (18/1 from 16/1), Fernando Verdasco (33/1 from 25/1) and Roland Garros' surprise package Robin Soderling (40/1 from 25/1) have all seen their prices drift.
*bets on the total number of Grand Slam events Nadal manages to win still stand and are not affected by this offer.
