French Open Semi-Final Preview
Rafael Nadal is on fire at present and is yet to drop a set this year at Roland Garros and William Hill are offering 9/4 that this run continues and he lifts the trophy without dropping a single set. Nadal goes into Friday's semi final as the red hot 1/16 favourite with fellow Spaniard David Ferrer an 8/1 shot. A 3-0 Nadal victory is 4/9.
Whereas the first semi final is on paper straight forward, the second one certainly is not. Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic beat Juan Martin Del Potro and Jo Wilfred Tsonga in thrilling five setters on Tuesday and another long match could well be on the cards. It is 9/4 for the match to go to five sets. 11/2 is offered for a Federer win in five and 5/1 for the world number one to clinch another dramatic victory within five sets.
Nadal is 1/3 to add another Roland Garros title to his trophy cabinet, Djokovic is 7/2 with 2009 champion Roger Federer priced at 10/1. Ferrer is a big outsider at 22/1.
"Nadal is in ominous form and he could will lift the trophy without dropping a single set," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
