Rafa Odds On To Win A 2013 Slam But Longest Price For French In Years
Rafa Nadal looked impresive at Indian Wells and William Hill make the Spaniard 11/10 to win the French Open - the longest price he has been in three years to win the tournament. Novak Djokovic is 5/4 with Andy Murray 8/1 and Roger Federer 12/1.
Rafa's performance in California was so impressive that William Hill make him odds on to win a Grand Slam this year at 8/11 although he is 11/10 to win no Slams.
Novak Djokovic is 4/11 to end the year as world number one with Andy Murray 3/1 and Rafa 5/1.
"Having performed so well in Indian Wells, it would be jumping the gun to suggest that he is back to his best just yet, but with hardly any points to defend at the tail end of the season there may be a few takers at 5/1 for him to finish the year as world number one," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. "Rafa is favourite for the French Open and he will probably prove to be best backed on what is his favourite surface."
