Spanish punter could win big on all-Spanish final
Rafael Nadal is 1/9 to win this year's French Open after his nail-biting victory over Novak Djokovic. William Hill make David Ferrer 11/2 to upset the odds, having been 25/1 to win the tournament back in April.
The biggest bet on Ferrer at 25/1 was for €200 and came from a fellow Spaniard which could scoop a whopping €5,000.
"This Spanish punter will no doubt be happy that two of his fellow countrymen have reached the final, but there is no doubt in my mind who he will be supporting come Sunday," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
So fancied is Nadal to win the match against his compatriot, that he is odds on at 4/7 to win the match in straight sets.
Match betting: 1/9 Nadal; 11/2 Ferrer
4/7 Nadal 3-0
11/4 Nadal 3-1
8/1 Nadal 3-2
22/1 Ferrer 3-0
14/1 Ferrer 3-1
10/1 Ferrer 3-2
