20/1 for record low temp, 8/1 London white Christmas
It would seem that summer is but a distant memory and William Hill are well and truly getting into the frost spirit, offering 20/1 that the lowest temperature ever recorded (-26.1C) in England is broken before the end of April next year.
The cold weather looks like it could be around for a while yet and with weeks if not months of dreary weather ahead, William Hill have unveiled their White Christmas betting making London 8/1 to see snow on Christmas Day, although the most likely destinations thus far are Edinburgh and Glasgow, both offered at 4/1.
"With Jack Frost starting to nip at our noses, festive punters are getting wrapped up to place the winter weather wagers and amongst them are those who are predicting a White Christmas," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
