BAFTAs: 50/1 That Wude Wossy Gets Wemoved
Ricky Gervais caused a stir at this year's Golden Globes, at one point leaving the stage for almost an hour.
William Hill are offering 50/1 that BAFTAs host, Jonathon Ross, is removed as host for inappropriate behaviour on the night.
"Wossy has never been one to shy away from controversy and he will be hoping to outdo his good friend Ricky Gervais, whose performance at the Globes was very close to the bone," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
The King's Speech looks set to clean up at the BAFTAs this year as it picked up 14 nominations.
Fresh from picking up the Best Actor Golden Globe, Colin Firth is 1/33 with William Hill to win the BAFTA for Best Leading Actor (The King's Speech) while the film itself is 1/2 to win Best Film.
Director, Tom Hooper, seems to have struck gold with his biopic of the stammering King George VI, and is offered at 8/15 with Hill's to win Best Director.
"The King's Speech was slightly overshadowed by The Social Network at the Globes, however with the backing of a British judging panel, should fare better at the BAFTAs. Colin Firth looks like a shoo-in for the Best Actor award as he aims to scoop all of the big three this year," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
There are two other British directors nominated for Best Director, with Danny Boyle 10/1 and Christopher Nolan 16/1. Natalie Portman is 2/5 to win the Best Leading Actress for her role in Black Swan.
