Snow Joke But Flights Could Be Grounded This Week
Amidst reports that winter is not over yet, bookmakers William Hill are offering odds of 33/1 that either Gatwick or Heathrow airports close due to snow at any point this week.
"The heavy snow in December disrupted thousands of people's flights and with another cold snap expected this week, passengers may well be set for bedding down in the airports again," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
With the British weather getting more and more unpredictable, Hills are offering 6/1 that the mercury breaches 100F this summer, while Edinburgh is the 11/4 favourite for snow on Christmas Day with London currently 8/1.
