Alexandra the great
X Factor Thriller - Alexandra Burke, really has little competition now in this event.
As Alexandra Burke's only competition, Diana Vickers' string of weak performances came to an overdue end last Saturday and the viewing public finally got the voting right!
For some strange reason the viewing public had kept Diana Vickers in the show, regardless of her increasingly out of tune, weak performances, not to mention "the claw".
Well, it would appear the ITV audience has now come to its senses, there can simply be no other winner than Alexandra Burke.
Let us not forget that her mother was a member of the massive 80's group - Soul II Soul, so the girl has form.
The 20 year old from London is odds on favourite - 4/7 to claim this year's title, but has become favourite very late in the season. There has been value on this girl throughout the show, and only now is the price beginning to reflect just how good she really is.
Alexandra Burke is simply a class above the rest, and it is an embarrassment that she has to "go up against" the likes of Eoghan Quigg who will be dueting with Seal in the final week. Dueting with Seal? Could there be more of a mismatch of voices? Surely this can only highlight just how weak Eoghan's voice is...
He can be backed as the first to leave the competition on the final night at 11/10...worth a punt.
This opens up another market available from William Hill. You can have a forecast bet on the winner and second place: Alexandra Burke 1st - JLS 2nd at 7/4 is where the money is heading, and rightly so!
It would appear that The X Factor provides the UK with our Christmas Number One each year, so once Alexandra has won on Saturday night, why not back her to be Christmas Number One Single.
