Jedward to pull off the biggest gamble in music history?
Bookmakers William Hill are facing a possible seven figure payout should the Ireland entry for this year's Eurovision Song contest win on Saturday night.
Hills originally offered 25/1 on the the Grimes twins but ever since the first rehearsals their odds have tumbled and they are now the 11/4 second favourites.
One Hill's customer alone stands to win €100,000 after placing a 5,000 bet at 20/1 that Jedward will win and there are other four figure bets for the terrible twins in the book.
Hills are drafting in extra staff to deal with demand and hope that turnover for them alone will top £2 million and the industry turnover will break the £10 million barrier for the first time!
"Over the years there have been some great gambles on the Eurovision but none to match 'Jedmania'. Both home nations are genuine contenders but a Jedward victory would spark a seven figure payout and we are desperate to see them topple! said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
