William Hill customers think that Gary Oldman will be the main beneficiary of the British bias at the BAFTA's and he has been backed in from an original 4/1 to 9/4 to win the Best Actor award for his portrayal of MI6 intelligence officer George Smiley. Meryl Streep is 2/7 favourite to win Best Actress with the Artist the red hot 1/6 favourite to win Best Film.
"You don't have to work for MI6 to see that Gary Oldman is a good bet for the best actor BAFTA and should he win the Smile will be wiped off our face!" said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams
