Bookies to payout over 100,000 if snow falls on Christmas Day
William Hill could be forced to payout over €100,000 if the snow returns to Ireland on Christmas Day.
The bookies, who first started betting on 'White Christmases' over thirty years ago, are quaking in their ski boots at the thought of snow falling on the 25th of December.
The bookies are betting on numerous locations across Ireland and the UK including Belfast, Dublin, Cork and Galway. Dublin and Belfast are available at 7/2 to have a White Christmas, while Galway and Cork are both 4/1 to have a festive flurry of snow.
'The snow on Christmas Day bet is a traditional festive flutter for Irish punters,' said Hills spokesman Tony Kenny, 'and they'll be hoping Santa Claus brings a bagful of snow with him on Christmas Day.'
