Christmas betting starts with book and game gambles
William Hill's Christmas markets are starting to take shape and with the X Factor live shows starting this weekend, it is Even money that the show bags the number one single for Christmas. Jack Topping is the 6/1 second favourite with Susan Boyle 10/1.
In the video games category, Call of Duty: Ghosts tops the market at 6/4 with the recently released titles FIFA 14 and Grand Theft Auto 2/1 and 4/1 respectively. The soon to be released Batman: Arkham Origins is 10/1 fourth favourite.
Jamie Oliver is the 1/2 favourite with William Hill to secure the Christmas top book as he has done for the last three years with Bridget Jones' latest outing the 8/1 second favourite.
"Our Christmas markets are incredibly popular and we have already seen gambles on White Christmas, top book and number one game," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
