Could Attraction Be Last Ever Non Brit BGT Winner?
William Hill ended up paying out a six figure sum as Hungarian Dance Act, Attraction won Britain's Got Talent. They appeared on the first episode of this series and were installed at 6/1 and they stayed at the top of the betting until the winner was announced on Saturday evening.
"We saw countless three figure bets on Attraction at prices ranging from between 6/1 and 1/4 so we had a rather hefty payout when Ant and Dec announced the winner," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
As soon as the voting lines opened on Saturday night, Attraction drifted in the betting until they settled at Even money while Jack Carroll came in from 5/1 to 11/10 after a sizeable gamble on the young comedian.
"At one point it looked as though Attraction were going to be beaten as an unrelenting gamble on Jack almost saw him become favourite before the lines closed indicating that he was in fact the public's favoured contestant on the night, but in the end, they just made it through," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
After a Hungarian victory in the show, William Hill are offering 10/1 that all contestants next year have to hold a British passport.
Odds before the show started: 4/11 Attraction; 4/1 Jack Carroll; 10/1 Richard & Adam; 14/1 Luminites; 20/1 BAR
