Bookies William Hill are odds on at 1/2 that the new Harry Potter film, Deathly Hollows Part Two, breaks the record for the biggest ever opening weekend of £18.32m.
They also offer 2/1 that the film's worldwide takings exceeds $1 Billion by Dec 31st 2011 and 8/1 that it wins at least one of the major five Oscars.
It is 5/1 that J.K. Rowling pens an eighth book for the Harry Potter series before the end of 2012
"The final Potter film looks set to smash many box office records but the biggest question on Potter fans' lips has to be: ‘will the end of the film franchise act as a catalyst for JK Rowling to get writing?'" said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
