Hills employee scores baby bonus for bookies
The William Hill shop assistant who invited punters to have a bet on the birth of her unborn baby, gave birth on Monday 8th August.
Jayne Price, from Lydney, Gloucestershire had a baby boy, called Callum Michael Kavanagh, who weighed in at 6lbs, 5oz.
The shop on Bristol Street, Lydney, took over 100 bets and ended up paying back 20% in winning stakes - the majority of which were placed on the baby being a boy.
Other winners included predicting the date of birth and the weight of the baby.
"Jane has proved to be a valuable member of the William Hill staff over the years and she has done us proud again by providing us with a winning market," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly. "Her charity of choice will, of course, be well rewarded."
