Mumford and Marling mean mauling for bookies

The Wanted have been slashed from 8/1 to 2/1 favourites to win Best Single at the 2011 BRIT Awards for their mammoth hit, All Time Low.

A string of three figure bets have seen their odds tumble to receive the award.

Tinie Tempah is 10/3 second favourite while Plan B is 4/1. Hills have also taken a string of bets on Laura Marling to win Best Female and her odds have been cut from 5/2 to 7/4.

"Our two biggest BRIT liabilities at the moment are The Wanted and Laura Marling. Should they win we could be facing a real Marling mauling," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.

Laura Marling's beau, Marcus Mumford's band, Mumford and Sons are 4/6 favourites to scoop the BRIT for best album ahead of 15/8 Plan B and Take That at 6/1.
