Oscars: Bonds back together? Adele carries Skyfall hopes
Pierce Brosnan has shocked Bond fans around the world by stating he may not turn up to the Oscars when Bond is honoured as part of its 50 year anniversary.
William Hill think it may all be bluster from the fifth Bond and it is 3/1 that all six of the silver screen actors show up.
"Bond fans around the globe will be tuning in, hoping to see the line up of Bonds throughout the ages and while Brosnan may be fifty/fifty at the moment, he could have a change of heart in the next 10 days," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
Bond may not have been nominated for any of the big awards, but William Hill make Adele 1/9 red-hot favourite to scoop the award for best original song.
Daniel Day Lewis is the shortest favourite to win an Oscar since Colin Firth was 1/66 to win it for the King's Speech but with a week and a half to go, it could well surpass Mr. Firth's record odds by some way.
There is a hint of The Hurt Locker about the Best Film award this year. Argo, like the Hurt Locker, was merely an outsider at 7/1 when betting opened, but the price has since collapsed and at 1/6, is miles ahead of second favourite, Lincoln at 4/1.
