Punters backing Matt to finish the winner
Following this weekend's X Factor shows, William Hill have been inundated with punters wanting to back Matt Cardle. The 27 year old was the star of the bootcamp round and will be mentored by Danni Minogue after being moved into in the boys category.
Hills have cut his odds from 8/1 to 3/1 following a flurry of bets which peaked just after he sang at the end of Saturday's show. Hills have also taken a number of bets for Gamu Nhengu and she has had her odds cut from 12/1 to 5/1. Long time favourite Cher Lloyd is sandwiched between the two and is the 9/2 second favourite.
"Punters are piling on Matt and they will be painting the town red should he win the X Factor," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams
