Punters Change Tack With Wagner Wagers
William Hill have continued to see money for Wagner to win the X-Factor and his odds have once more been cut.
He started off the live shows as a 100/1 outsider, yet a sustained gamble has seen him backed all the way in to 6/1. He has now moved ahead of Cher Lloyd, Mary Byrne and Katie Waissel in the betting, although he still remains the 11/4 second favourite for the X-Factor boot on Sunday.
"We saw a lot of early money for Wagner to go but he defied the odds and it appears that those punters have now changed tack and are backing him to emerge victorious. He is proving one of the most popular contestants this year and we could be faced with a major financial headache should he win," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
Hills are also offering 1000/1 that Wagner hooks up with the equally inept Anne Widdecombe following the end of the two shows and they are 50/1 to both win.
