Sky Falls In For Bond At Oscar Shortlist!

The Oscar nominations have not been kind to the latest Bond film, ‘Skyfall', which had been just Even money with William Hill to be nominated in the Best Picture category. Britain's biggest bookie also had high hopes for both Judi Dench & Javier Barden who were both 6/4 to be nominated in the Supporting Actress & Actor categories but they were overlooked when the nominations were announced. It is not a total disaster for Skyfall, as Adele could restore some pomp and she is 4/6 to win the Best Original Song Oscar for the Bond franchise. William Hill offer 6/4 that Skyfall delivers at least two Oscars from the five it has been nominated for.

"We had high hopes that Bond would at the very least gain a nomination for Best Picture but sadly it was not to be. The only bit of good news is that Bond has Adele as his ace in the hole," said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams
