Who's in the house?

Which "stars" will appear on Celebrity Big Brother as it returns to Channel 4 for a sixth series on Friday, 02 January 2009?

Admit it, you missed it last year: the arguments, the tantrums, the racism... It may have taken the show's producers two years to build up the courage to screen it again but Celebrity Big Brother is back.

Now some people would have taken the last two years to organise some half-decent celebs to appear on the big comeback series but the BB bosses clearly left it as late as most blokes leave their Christmas shopping as the shelves must have been pretty empty if the rumours of who's going in are to be believed.

Whilst there was early speculation about the likes of Whitney Houston, Patrick Moore, Cliff Richard and Russell Brand's former lover Georgina Baillie appearing on the show it doesn't look like they'll be making it this year.

Former Sugarbabe Mutya Buena last week denied any connections with this series but is very much fancied to be walking into the CBB house tomorrow night. Other potential "eye-candy" includes Michelle Heaton (Liberty X), page-3's Lucy Pinder and Sven Goran Eriksson/John Leslie/Stan Collymore favourite Ulrika-ka-ka Johnson.

Something for the ladies?

Remember A1? The boy band, not the road. Come on, they had two number ones and won a Brit Award! Oh well, Ben Adams from A1 is expected in the BB house. Apart from him, rebel politician Tommy Sheridan and Mancunian heart-throb Terry Christian (no, we've never heard him described as that before either) that's pretty much it for the ladies to look at apart from Steve Strange.

Team USA

Want big American stars? West Coast rapper Coolio is expected to be making this year's Celebrity Big Brother house his very own Gangsta's Paradise (couldn't resist).

Want more big American stars? Well they don't get much bigger than Michael Jackson but obviously he's a little too big for CBB so it looks like his sister La Toya Jackson will be representing the family this year following on from Jermaine.

Want even more big American stars? How about a big star in a little body. Verne Troyer, best known for his role of Mini Me in Austin Powers, measures in at just two feet and eight inches and has apparently asked Big Brother for some steps to wheel around the house.

So there you have it, the all-star line-up for Celebrity Big Brother 2009, or the ones we've heard about anyway. Leave us a comment if there's anyone you think we've missed or got wrong. To find out the final list you'll just have to watch Channel 4 on Friday night.

Celebrity Big Brother betting

William Hill will have betting odds on Celebrity Big Brother once they know who's in it.

And finally, for those of you who that have the Beatmasters' 1989 classic going round in their heads since reading the title of this post, here's the video in full.
