Will Big Brother put the "Celebrities" in Big Bother?

Well, it's here again, the show we all hate to love, the seventh and final series of Celebrity Big Brother. 27 days of watching and hoping for another breakdown à la Vanessa Feltz or maybe even a punch up between hard man Alex Reid and Dane Bowers. If all else fails on that front then why not have a punt on one of them to keep you interested.

Vinnie Jones shoots, smoking barrels and all, straight in at 5/2 favourite, being an icon on the field and on the screen has provided him with an avid following over the years and is arguably the most well known in this country. Although don't let the early favourite put you off betting elsewhere as in the past with Big Brother this doesn't usually count for much. We have almost a month to get to know these people so have a punt while the odds are still good!

To help make your mind up Sam Leggott gives a quick rundown of all the housemates, just in case you're not sure who some of them are, if you still haven't made your mind up on who will win it at this early stage why not have a look at other markets such as the gender of the winner or top male and female and have a bet later on.

Vinnie Jones (5/2)

Hardman Vinnie Jones is hot favourite to win right from the off and although the price may not look as inviting as some of the others you must admit as long as he can control his infamous temper and show his personality there is no reason he can't win this thing with ease. Rising to fame from being a no-nonsense footballer, and for also grabbing Gazza inappropriately, Vinnie then went on to the next logical step - Hollywood. Such hits as Lock Stock, X-men and Mean Machine gained Vinnie a whole new audience and a predicted win in the final Celebrity Big Brother would be a welcomed addition to his trophy cabinet.

Basshunter (Jonas Altberg) (4/1)

Basshunter, he seems unable to be referred to as Jonas or nobody would know who he is, starts at second favourite due no doubt to his handsome good looks with the contingent of female voters! Jonas shot to success with his hard hitting dance anthem "Now You're Gone" that stayed at number one for four weeks. Currently touring the world playing to packed clubs, Jonas seems a nice enough guy and a decent shout to at least make the final.

Stephanie Beacham (6/1)

This legend of the stage and screen has been going for over 30 years acting alongside such legends as Peter Cushing, Marlon Brando and even Ken Barlow. With such a big fan base, both here and across the Atlantic, and going for so long you would expect her to have built up a following enough to keep her in. Although with the younger bunch in there maybe she will become a bit overshadowed and there are questions over whether she has the personality to keep the fans watching, but I will certainly look forward to see how she and Lady Sovereign get on.

Dane Bowers (7/1)

Singer, songwriter and DJ extraordinaire, Dane has had eleven Top 10 singles, seven of them as part of the boyband, Another Level. Another notch on Jordan's bedpost, sparks are expected to fly between him and Alex although both are insisting otherwise. Dane is using Big Brother to reveal the "real Dane", and no doubt a new single somewhere along the line. Seems like a nice enough guy and as long as no sparks fly between him and Alex he could go far.

Lady Sovereign (8/1)

Going by the real name of Louise Amanda Harman, "Sov" is a British rapper and is renowned for her anti-celebrity attitude, so Celebrity Big Brother seems the ideal place for her to gain nationwide recognition. Although many of you may not have heard of her, she was the first non-American female to be signed to the massive Def-Jam record label. However none of her singles have been higher than 26 in the UK charts she is still very popular in her scene and with a history of having a bit of a temper, allegedly, she might cause some controversy which is usually a hit with the fans so she certainly has a chance of becoming the top female with not much else to choose from in that category.

Stephen Baldwin (9/1)

The youngest of the Baldwin Brothers, Stephen originates from New York and is best known for his performance in the multi-award winning The Usual Suspects. Baldwin is another American with a colourful past with recent admittances to drugs and other misdemeanours and then going the full circle to become a born again Christian. Stephen is now the director of his own ministry, a presenter on a Christian radio show and preaches across America. If he can come out of his shell and not dwell too much on the religious side of things I don't see why he can't go quite far but I'm not convinced he has the personality to win it.

Sisqó (12/1)

Sisqó or if you want to use his real name - the much less glamorous Mark Althavean Andrews, made a big thong and dance (I'm sorry) over his entrance and if you're like me and didn't know much about the R&B star, surely you've warmed to him already and he is my hot tip and at 12/1, even at such an early stage - he looks the sort of flamboyant, vocal star that can at least get to the final and I'm sure this price won't be around for long.

Alex Reid (20/1)

Alex, who is named after Alexander the Great, started his career as a mixed martial arts fighter also known as "The Reidernator", although his record of eight wins and eight losses is barely world class. Alex shot to fame by dating Katie Price and stories emerged that he is also a fan of cross dressing. A few days before entering the house of hell he was allegedly in a fight with Dane Bowers, although both strongly deny it. With a mixture of martial arts, Jordan, cross dressing and nightclub brawls you would expect a fair bit of entertainment from Alex and although there was a few boos on his entrance I think 20/1 doesn't look a bad price.

Nicola Tappenden (20/1)

Nicola T, as she is more formally known, is this year's customary a page 3 girl and glamour model. Mrs T shot into the limelight when she won The Sun's Page 3 Idol competition and went on to fulfil many young girls' dreams of becoming a WAG and making her own WAG fitness DVD. The reason she has entered Big Brother is to boost her personal profile in preparation for launching her singing career, a duet with last year's housemate Coolio, and although 20/1 for her to win Big Brother looks good, we won't be offering odds on her singing career to be a success.

Katia Ivanova (25/1)

21 year old Ekaterina comes into the house as one of the least well known, which is why her 25/1 seems like such an attractive price, as people have no real pre-conceptions about what she is like she might just shock us. Katia is only really known from her relationship with Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood. Wood met her as she was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, no really, and the much photographed relationship ended at the end of 2009 and Katia went on to modelling and wants to pursue her dream of being a children's illustrator, the Big Brother house seems a perfect place to start.

Heidi Fleiss (40/1)

Best known as her role as a "Hollywood Madam", Heidi has had a colourful past to say the least. Her well publicised court case in 1997 for running a high class prostitution ring led to three years in jail. You have to give her some credit for never revealing all the secrets in her little black book but unless she starts producing some names from it in this series I can't see her having enough banter to rake in the votes each week and she is looking every bit of her 40/1.

Hopefully a bet on one or two of these will keep you glued all the way through, along with other markets which we will be doing throughout the series inlcuding next eviction.

Enjoy the mayhem!
