William Hill Freeze Betting On Minus Temps At Easter
The winter weather has been so wicked that William Hill have suspended their betting on the lowest temperature recorded on Easter Sunday as the weather looks set to remain Baltic for at least the next week.
William Hill had been offering 2/1 that a freezing temperature would be recorded on the mainland, which was snapped up and the betting was closed at 9am this morning.
William Hill are offering just 6/4 that Edinburgh sees snow at any point on Sunday while it is 3/1 for a ‘White Easter' in London.
"We have been snowed under with bets for a freezing temperature and a white Easter, we could be paying out a small fortune if the Easter bunny wakes to snow," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
With the Grand National due to take place in less than two weeks, William Hill are offering 33/1 that it snows during the race itself and 12/1 that the Aintree is cancelled.
It is the boat race this weekend and it is 25/1 that snow falls in London in the 15 minutes or so that the race is ongoing. It is also 20/1 that any Premier League fixture is postponed over Easter weekend.
"We have some great sport ahead of us over the next few weeks, but the weather could unfortunately affect this," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
White Easter Prices: 6/4 Edinburgh; 3/1 London; 4/1 Cardiff

33/1 Snow to fall in Aintree during the Grand National
