X Factor: You Bet Punters Won't Miss Simon Cowell!
The early signs from William Hill are that the X Factor 2011 will beat its previous record betting turnover with the firm estimating that industry turnover will exceed £10 million. Should the punters decide that the programme is not the same without Simon, Hills offer 8/1 that Simon Cowell replaces a judge before the winner is announced and 12/1 that he is the replacement brought in.
"We think that the X Factor will shrug off the loss of Simon Cowell and we expect a record turnover this year!" said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
