Over £203,000 Bet On X Factor....
As of midday Friday bookmakers William Hill have taken almost £204,000 on who will win the X Factor 2010, more than they did on the whole of the first series of the X Factor.
Hills have taken over 23,000 bets with an average stake of of just over £8.50. Hills are predicting an industry turnover of over £10 million across X Factor betting markets, making the X Factor comparable to the FA Cup final.
William Hill are offering 5/4 that over 20 million people watch the show on Saturday night.
Matt Cardle is the current favourite with Hills to win at 11/4 and Katie Waissel is favourite to be the first contestant voted off the show at 11/4.
"The X Factor is the FA Cup final of reality TV betting and we are predicting an industry turnover of millions of pounds will be changing hands in the next few weeks. " said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
