English Open: 1st – 7th November, Milton Keynes, UK
This will be the sixth edition of the English Open, an event that has never been won multiple times by a single player. Judd Trump goes into the tournament as the defending champion after beating Neil Robertson 9-8 in last year’s thrilling final.
Champion of Champions: 15th – 21st November, Bolton, UK
First held in 1978, the tournament features 16 invited participants. These are usually winners of the best tournaments since the previous Champions of Champions. As this is an invitational event, the tournament does not carry any ranking points.
UK Championship: 23rd Nov – 5th Dec, York, UK
The first Triple Crown event of the calendar, the UK Championship is also the fifth ranking event of the season. Neil Robertson will be aiming to defend his crown after beating Judd Trump in last year’s final. It’s a title the Aussie has won on three separate occasions, but the most successful player is Ronnie O’Sullivan, who has won this a record seven times. The current market leader is last year’s finalist Judd Trump at 7/2.
December
Scottish Open: 6th – 12th December, Llandudno, WAL
The Scottish Open is set to be the third event in the Home Nations Series and the sixth ranking event of the season. Mark Selby will go into the event as the defending champion after beating Ronnie O’Sullivan last year.
World Grand Prix: 13th – 19th December, Coventry, UK
The top 32 players on the one-year ranking list qualify for the World Grand Prix, which takes place in mid-December. Judd Trump is the most successful player in the tournament having won it three times, including last year’s renewal. This will also be the first event of the Cazoo Cup.
January
Masters: 9th – 16th January, London, UK
This will be the 48th staging of the Masters and will be the second of the three Triple Crown events on the calendar. Ronnie O’Sullivan has won the event a record seven times but hasn’t lifted the title since 2017. The defending champion will be China’s Yang Bingtao, although heading the market currently is ‘The Ace in the Pack’ Judd Trump at 11/4.
Shootout: 20th – 23rd January, Leicester, UK
The previous Snooker Shootout was won by Ryan Day for the third time in his career.
German Masters: 26th – 30th January, Berlin, GER
Defending champion Judd Trump will be aiming to retain his crown in what will be the ninth ranking event of the season.
February
Players Championship: 7th – 13th February, Wolverhampton, UK
The second event of the Cazoo cup and the tenth ranking event on the calendar, the Players Championship will be held in Wolverhampton this year. John Higgins is the defending champion after winning the title for the first-time last year.
European Masters: 22nd – 27th February, Furth, GER
Mark Selby won his maiden European Masters title after beating Martin Gold in the 2020 final.
Welsh Open: 28th February – 6th March, Newport, WAL
Another Home Nation Series event, the Welsh Open returns to Newport this year. Since the event’s inception, Mark Williams is the only Welsh player to be victorious, having won the title twice as well as finishing runner-up on another occasion.
March
Turkish Masters: 7th – 13th March, Antalya, TUR
Having been moved to later in the calendar, the inaugural Turkish Masters will now take place at the beginning of March. All matches including the quarterfinals will be best-of-9 frames, the semi-finals will be best-of-11 and the final will be best-of-17 split over two sessions.
Gibraltar Open: 24th – 26th March, Gibraltar, UK
The Gibraltar Open returns to Gibraltar this year after being played in Milton Keynes in 2021. Judd Trump is the most successful player in the tournament, having won the event back-to-back in 2020 and 2021.
Tour Championship: 28th March – 3rd April, Llandudno, WAL
The first edition of the Tour Championship was played in 2019 where Ronnie O’ Sullivan beat Neil Robertson in the final. This form was reversed in the third running of the event in 2021 when Robertson beat O’Sullivan to take his maiden Tour Championship crown.
April
World Championship: 16th April – 2nd May, Sheffield, UK
The third and final Triple Crown event on the calendar is the most prestigious tournament in snooker, the World Championship. Mark Selby was last year’s winner, his fourth success in the competition. He’s currently priced at 5/1 and is joint-second favourite with Ronnie O’Sullivan.
Judd Trump is, you guessed it, the current market leader for the tournament at 3/1. He’s looking to win his second World Championship, last winning in 2019 when beating John Higgins.
