Racecard

We’ve revamped our horse racing pages to bring you more markets and more ways to win!

Races can be viewed as before in the Racecard tab, where the win market and SP betting is available. As on all views of each race, complete form and Racing Post Spotlights can be turned on and off, and links to radio, form and streaming can be found at the top of the race.

Pro Racecard

The pro racecard is for those who take their racing seriously. This view shows the top markets from our other tabs: place betting, betting without and insurance. View the next slides for full explanations of each of these.

Place Markets

If you fancy a horse finish in the frame, but not necessarily win the race, place betting gives you the options you need. Depending on the number of runners in the race, you can back a horse to finish in the first 2, 3 or 4 places.

For example, if you back a horse in the place only 3, you will be paid as a winner at the same odds whether your horse finishes first, second or third.

Insurance Markets

Insurance markets give you a safety net on your bet. The odds offered are for the horse to win, but you will get your stakes returned if it finishes in any of the given places. Great if your fancy has just one or two dangers in the race.

For Example: you back a horse to win in the ‘Insure 3 Places’ market. If it wins the race you get paid, but if it finishes either 2nd or 3rd you will get you money back!

Betting Without Markets

For betting without markets we take one, two or three horses out of the equation as far as your bet is concerned. The horses which are ignored are shown in the market as W/O.

For example: You have a bet on a horse in a market which ignores the favourite. If your horse finishes 2nd to the favourite or wins the race then you have a winning bet.

The Homepage

Click on the time to go into any individual race, on the track to get all races for that meeting, or select your own custom racecard by ticking up to 8 boxes and selecting ‘View Multiple Races’.

The Racecard

You can navigate between races at the same meeting with the left and right arrows either side of the race name.

Alternately select one of the next 5 UK and IRE races, or choose one of the next Rest of the World races.

Breadcrumbs

Once you are in a race, you can hover over the links above the racecard for quick links to any other meeting, or to any other race within the same meeting.

Form

To view or remove Racing Post form use the checkbox above the runners, and bring up all spotlights with the Show all RP spotlights button.

Clicking on the jockey or trainer under each selection will bring up all that jockey or trainers runners for the day, and click on the tv icon to watch a replay of the horse’s last run.
