The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be the 68th edition of the competition when contestants take to the stage in Sweden next month.

2024 Eurovision Song Contest – Where and When?

The Eurovision 2024 Grand Final is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 11th, 2024. The semi-finals will air just days before on Tuesday, May 7th and Thursday, May 9th. The competition will be broadcast on the BBC in the UK.

Croatia are the 1/5 favourites to win the first semi-final, while the Netherlands are the 1/3 favourites to win the second.

Every year the winning country earns the right to host the following year’s contest. Therefore, this year it is scheduled to take place in Malmö, Sweden, following the country’s victory at the 2023 contest with the song “Tattoo” by Loreen.

Popstar Olly Alexander will be representing the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with his single ‘Dizzy’, which was initially expected to trouble the top of the leaderboards but has lost momentum upon the reveal of some other countries’ tracks.

Luxembourg will return to Eurovision after a huge 30 years of absence. They sit as rank outsiders (250/1) but may be an each-way chance if the public take the returning nation into their hearts. William Hill are paying four places in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

Romania is the only country from Eurovision 2023 that won’t participate in Eurovision 2024.

How does the voting work?

The semi-finals are decided entirely by a public vote from competing countries and people in the rest of the world. For the final, every country which qualifies awards two sets of scores: one from a jury of experts and one by fans. Each of their 10 favourite songs is given points – but they can’t vote for their own country’s song.
