Lee Phelps’ Champions League picks

After an exciting first leg between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in the first Champions League semi final, Lee Phelps outlines his best bets ahead of the clash between Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain.
It’s a real shame to see no Premier League side in the last four of Europe’s top competition, but these games are just brilliant and I can’t wait to see Dortmund take on PSG.

Borussia Dortmund v Paris Saint-Germain
It’s fascinating to read the German side’s boss Edin Terzic saying the French would-be champions have been built to win the Champions League. He of course is positioning his own team as the underdogs and we have to agree in this 90 minute match, but only just. There’s not a lot between the sides with the draw the biggest price at 13/5.
Dortmund have pedigree at home in Europe, as evidenced by their 4-2 win against Atletico, but their domestic form has been poor with a 4-1 defeat at Leipzig at the weekend.
PSG needed a late comeback to draw 3-3 with lowly Le Havre but they’ll seal the title this weekend and I think with Kylian Mbappe back in the side, I expect them to win with both teams scoring at around 3/1.
It’s hard to find value backing Mbappe to score. He’s rattled in over 40 goals for PSG so I want to be on his side in some form though and this enhanced odds bet at 4/1 looks decent: Mbappe to have over one shot on target, PSG to win and both teams to score.
