Nunez edges Duran as best current Impact Sub in the Premier League
Darwin Nunez has come out on top of a William Hill poll to find the greatest Impact Sub of current Premier League players.
Liverpool forward Nunez emerged top of the pile, with 12% of the vote of the 1,000 UK football fans surveyed, closely followed by Aston Villa sensation Jhon Duran (9%).
The survey comes as part of the leading bookmaker’s new Impact Sub promotion – which means your bet is still on at the original price, even if your player isn’t.
Duran caught the headlines with recent goals off the bench against West Ham, Leicester, Everton and Bayern Munich. But Reds fan favourite Nunez leads the way, also topping the likes of Chelsea playmaker Joao Felix, Manchester United winger Antony and West Ham’s summer signing Niclas Fullkrug.
Lee Phelps, spokesperson for William Hill, said: “Jhon Duran may have received plenty of plaudits in recent weeks, but Darwin Nunez has been voted the best Impact Sub currently plying their trade in the Premier League.
“Liverpool’s all-action forward received 12% of responses in our poll of 1,000 UK football fans, with fellow South American Duran close behind with 9%, having fired Aston Villa to a number of famous wins already this season.
“Antony may flatter to deceive with some of his performances at Manchester United, but he still finishes fourth in our list, behind Chelsea attacker Joao Felix.”
