Nick Luck’s William Hill blog: Cheltenham November Meeting Saturday Preview

William Hill ambassador Nick Luck previews Saturday of the Cheltenham November Meeting, tipping a well-fancied de Bromhead-trained runner in the feature.

Cheltenham, Saturday

L’EAU DU SUD looked very assured on his Chase debut at Stratford recently, and the County Hurdle runner up is taken to follow up in the Arkle trial this afternoon (1.45). This won’t be a cakewalk with Lookaway in opposition, but the selection has just the greater scope to do better still.

LETS GO CHAMP appeals as quite a strong each way bet in the Paddy Power itself (2.20). Very lightly raced, and firmly on the up, he looked like a genuine level weights horse when cruising through a competitive race at Punchestown, before flattening slightly at the end of the Galway Plate. This relative test of speed on the old course should suit, and there’s more to come.

DOYEN QUEST will be hard to beat in the staying handicap hurdle (2.55). The comeback run will have put him spot on, he has form here, endless potential to improve for this distance and looks very fairly treated.

CHAMPAGNE TWIST is worth chancing in the Intermediate Hurdle (3.30) at a bit of a price. He’s hard as nails and had probably just given everything by his final run last season. The EBF form at Sandown gives him a genuine shot here.
