Super Bowl
Future Super Bowl Host Cities And Locations

On the afternoon of February 9, 2025, all eyes will be on New Orleans. Answering the question of Where is the Super Bowl this year?, that attention will happen for the best of reasons: The Crecent City, birthplace of jazz and famous for its annual Mardi Gras festival, will be hosting Super Bowl LIX.
Though it will be the 11th Super Bowl to take place in New Orleans, there is no doubt that preparations for the big event have been in the works for years. Even a natural party town like New Orleans needs to prepare for the 100,000 people who are expected to blow in for the Bowl.
Super Bowl Host Cities and Stadiums:
- 2025 – Caesars Superdome, New Orleans
- 2026 – Levi’s Stadium, San Francisco
- 2027 – SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles
- 2028 – Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta
While football lovers around the world key in on kicks, passes, running games, NFL betting and whether their wagers made on William Hill will have a shot at paying off, city fathers in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Atlanta will likely be watching for tiny details that can be improved upon or the good things that can provide inspiration.
In 2026, 2027 and 2028, those cities, respectively, will be hosting Super Bowls of their own.
Commenting on his city’s upcoming NFL championship, Warrick Dunne, the former Atlanta Falcons running back, focused on the timeline for prepping to be the highest profile locale of the NFL season. “You can’t wait until the year before [ to start planning],” he told On3. “[We have] to start putting things into place to make Atlanta the greatest city.”
Getting the bid to put on a Super Bowl is not easy – and, to receive such an honour, greatness is a given (sadly, Denver, Colorado, home of the Broncos, is a city that has never hosted a Super Bowl).
For starters, the host city must have a Super Bowl stadium that seats at least 70,000, a trio of “top quality” golf courses and equally stellar bowling lanes. Seventy billboards must be given over to the NFL and hotels where teams will stay must have had subscriptions to the NFL Network for the year leading up to the big game.
But it’s all worth it. Take, for example, San Francisco, which hosted in 2016 and is set to roll out the red carpet in 2026. The last Super Bowl there generated $250 million in economic impact and $181 million in hotel revenue.
The 2026 event can only be better (and more profitable), as fans flock to Levis Stadium, which is situated in the heart of Silicon Valley and gets touted as the most high-tech sports venue in the world.
Los Angeles, in 2027, will have a different allure. Celebrities are never in short supply for high profile sporting events, but when Tinseltown hosts that upcoming Super Bowl, the city’s ninth, we can expect it to be a totally star-studded affair with football fans who are household names occupying prime seats.
It will be the city’s second time in five years to be home-base for the NFL championship and plans are already in place. Showing off LA as a Super Bowl crazed locale, events will include NFL Honours, a Super Bowl Experience for those who can’t make it to SoFi Stadium and community programs across the city. Not surprisingly, season ticket holders in LA (which hosted the first Super Bowl in 1967) have already scooped up their allotment of seats way ahead of the 2027 game.
Atlanta, which will be welcoming NFL fanatics in 2028, just might turn itself into a late-night city for the week leading up to Super Bowl LXII. That’s what happened in 2019, when Atlanta last hosted the Super Bowl and bars there had special dispensations to stay open until 4:00 a.m. for the week leading up to the game. Nobody wants to be in a sleepy Super Bowl city.
Cool as the various Super Bowl accommodations may be, nothing will beat playing on a team that’s fighting for a championship in its home stadium. So far, only two teams — Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams – have had that honour and they both won. No doubt, the future host teams are hoping for similar results.
For NFL betting punters who believe it can happen again, there will be future bets to be made on William Hill and plenty of cash to be won.
