General Election Betting Tips: Reform Now Second Favourites For Most Seats
The latest YouGov poll has seen a flurry of bets for Nigel Farage’s Reform Party, with William Hill now pricing the party at 13/8 to win the Most Seats in the next General Election – a shorter price than the Conservative Party at 2/1.
According to the latest politics odds, Labour are expected to win the Most Seats in the next General Election with Keir Starmer’s party priced at 6/4 to back up last year’s success. However, there has been considerable market support behind the Reform Party in recent weeks.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Monday’s YouGov poll has seen a shakeup in the most seats market for the next General Election, with Reform making serious inroads on Labour’s lead at the top of the betting.
“Reform’s new price of 13/8 for the most seats – down from 15/8 yesterday – has seen them leapfrog the Conservatives, who have drifted from 6/4 to 2/1.
“Nigel Farage’s party have been responsible for 64% of bets in the market and now firmly have their eyes on Labour’s position in the betting, who remain small 6/4 favourites.”
Popular Vote Swings Following 2024 General Election
The latest polling results show that one in five who voted for the Conservatives in the 2024 General Election would now vote for Reform and the party has edged in front on 25% in the popular vote, with Labour pushed into a narrow second on 24%. The Tories are back in third on 21% according to the poll.
The move pushes Reform UK to the top of the rankings for the first time and Britain is in a new period of three party politics, according to the polling results.
In addition, the YouGov poll found that Tory leader Kemi Badenoch – winner of the Conservative Party leadership last year – has fallen behind Nigel Farage with voters, who were asked whether they have a favourable or unfavourable opinion of each party leader.
