The Ultima Handicap Chase, otherwise known as the Festival Trophy Handicap Chase, takes place on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival. The race is open to horses aged five years or older and is run on the Old Course at Cheltenham.
In terms of distance, the Ultima Handicap Chase is 3m1f and there are 20 fences to be jumped in total. The race has a total prize pot of £150,000, with £84,405 going to connections of the winning horse.
