The National Hunt Challenge Cup, otherwise known as the National Hunt Chase, is the final race on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival. The race is open to novice chasers aged five years or older and is run on the Old Course at Cheltenham.
In terms of distance, the National Hunt Chase is 3m6f and there are 23 fences to be jumped in total. The race has a total prize pot of £100,000, with £52,030 going to connections of the winning horse.
