Newcastle United v Nottingham Forest – Sunday, 2pm

• Just six points separate Newcastle in seventh to Nottingham Forest in third, this could be a huge game in the top four race.

Manchester City v Liverpool – Sunday, 4.30pm

• Manchester City return to Premier League action after being eliminated from the UEFA Champions League after a 3-1 defeat away to Real Madrid, thanks to a Kylian Mbappe hat-trick.
• The unwanted records continue for Pep Guardiola this season, that’s the first time Pep has failed to reach the last sixteen during his coaching career.
• The City faithful will be worried given the level of performance they’ve seen from their side when they face the “bigger” sides, the performance against Arsenal and those against Real Madrid cannot be replicated here if they are to get a result.

• Liverpool had the chance to go ten points clear at the top of the Premier League on Wednesday evening but were held to a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, Arne Slot’s side have played a game more than Arsenal but have a healthy eight point lead.
• However, a defeat here could see some pressure on Liverpool for the first time this season but only if Arsenal can capitalise. 
• One thing we do know is that this should be a brilliant game for the neutral, ten of the last twelve meetings between these two across all competitions have seen both sides hit the back of the net.
