Brendan Rodgers making his mark in Europe
Charlie Mulgrew said: I think you can’t deny the last time he was here, and when Ange was here, they never did that, but this year you can see a clear progression. Although it’s not the last 16, he’s got to a play-off that nearly got there.
Steven Naismith asked; “Is that the new success, getting to this stage, or is there success further along?”
Mulgrew replied; “In the Champions League? It’s a big ask isn’t it. Last night’s a huge performance, nobody would have ever said that, everybody then saying, ‘hold on a minute, imagine we’d got through, where could Celtic get to?’”

No regrets for Stuart Kettlewell
Stuart Kettlewell said: “I need to believe in what I’m doing 100%, everybody needs to be on the same bus going in the same direction and I have to stress, there were good supporters in amongst that as well, I had the full backing of the staff and the players, no doubt about that whatsoever.
Sometimes you get to a bit of a cross-roads, and you have to make a decision, I stand by my decision.”
The gamble of change
Steven Naismith said; “We’re in a world where past successes don’t carry weight. You can be successful, really good. Man City dominated for the last five years, but very quickly people go; is that it? As if we need to wash our hands, the next one’s going to be much better, when really, that’s as big a gamble as not (changing things).”
Naismith’s new career?
Asked about his plans for the rest of the week, Steven Naismith said; “Doing my bakery shift tomorrow, Big Bear Bakery, doing my bread shift.”
Gordon Duncan followed up to ask about the start time, to which Steven replied;
“6:30am! I love it. When I was out of work, what can I try and do which is so different to what I have been doing, and I enjoyed it! If I like it, I’ll hopefully get asked back!”
