Tournament Format
The Premier League Darts follows a league system where players earn points based on their performance each night. The top four players at the end of the league phase will advance to the playoffs, with the final taking place at The O2 Arena in London on May 29.
Night Five Matchups
Gerwyn Price vs. Michael van Gerwen: Gerwyn Price showed flashes of his old self when he claimed victory on Night Three in Dublin, but he couldn’t carry that momentum into the UK Open, where he suffered a 10-9 defeat to Connor Scutt in his opening match despite averaging 95. The Welshman is looking to bounce back here, but he faces a tough opponent in Michael van Gerwen.
MVG has been consistent this season, reaching the semi-finals on three of the four nights so far. This is expected to be a tight battle, with Price at EVS and Van Gerwen slightly favoured at 4/5. Given how close this matchup is, it could go either way.
Luke Littler vs. Chris Dobey: Luke Littler continues to amaze, coming off the back of his first UK Open title after destroying James Wade 11-2 in the final. His confidence is sky-high, and he’s the overwhelming favourite at 2/7 to take down Chris Dobey.
Dobey has struggled to find consistency in this year’s Premier League and faces an uphill battle at 13/5. If Littler continues his hot form, a bet on Littler Over 2 180s & Over 1 Checkout Over 99 at 4/1 could offer some value.
Rob Cross vs. Luke Humphries: Rob Cross has historically had the edge over Luke Humphries, winning five of their last seven meetings. However, this time, the odds are against him as he enters as the 23/10 outsider.
Humphries is leading the Premier League table after securing two night wins from the four so far. He’s the strong favourite at 1/3 to win this match and 15/8 to claim another nightly title. The signs point towards another all-Luke final.
Stephen Bunting vs. Nathan Aspinall: Stephen Bunting is still searching for his first win of the season, and this might be his best chance yet. He’s the slight favourite at 4/6 against Nathan Aspinall, who has struggled to find his best form but remains a dangerous opponent.
Aspinall, however, is coming off a solid showing in Dublin and will be eager to build on that momentum. If Bunting doesn’t capitalize on this opportunity, his playoff hopes could be in serious jeopardy.
Tournament Favourites
Following his dominant UK Open victory, Luke Littler remains the favourite to win the Premier League at 5/4. Luke Humphries, who has been the most consistent player so far, is close behind at 13/8.
Michael van Gerwen is still in contention at 13/2, while Gerwyn Price is priced at 9/1. The rest of the field trails behind, with Aspinall and Cross at 28/1 and Bunting and Dobey further, both at 33/1.
