Tournament Format
The Premier League Darts operates on a league system, with players earning points based on their performance each night. The top four players at the end of the league phase will advance to the playoffs, culminating in the final at The O2 arena in London on May 29.
Night Six
Luke Humphries vs. Luke Littler
Luke Humphries currently sits top of the 2025 Premier League table, having won both Night One and Four of this year’s Premier League. This matchup is the headliner for the evening, with the two best darts players in the world and top two players in this year’s Premier League so far locking horns in the opening game of the night in Nottingham.
Luke Littler won in Brighton last week, meanwhile Luke Humphries himself hit a nine-darter in his quarter-final loss to Rob Cross. ‘The Nuke’ also comes here fresh off the back of an impressive win last weekend at the Belgian Darts Open and is 4/7 to emerge victorious in this battle. T
hat being said, his impressive run is bound to come to and end soon, and it could even be this week against ‘Coolhand’; Humphries is 11/8 to win the match. This could also be a 180-fest, with both men some of the biggest maximum hitters in world darts – it’s 19/20 for there to be over 7.5 total match 180.
Rob Cross vs. Chris Dobey
Rob Cross was in tantalising form last week, beating Luke Humphries in the quarter-finals before then hitting a nine-darter in his semi-final bout with Nathan Aspinall. Despite losing to Aspinall, ‘Voltage’ registered two 100+ averages last week in Brighton and can count himself very unlucky not to at least make the final.
He goes up against Chris Dobey, who came agonisingly close to beating Luke Littler in the first game of the night last week. Cross’ form coming into this week prices him as the slight favourite at 8/11, with ‘Hollywood’ as the underdog 11/10.
Stephen Bunting vs Gerwyn Price
Stephen Bunting, who sits bottom of the table without a point to his name, is in desperate need of a Premier League win. While he is yet to show his class on the oche, Bunting remains without doubt one of the great players in the world but can’t seem to channel his ability into the Premier League.
He faces a relatively in-form Gerwyn Price, who played well at the Belgian Darts Open over the weekend and won Night Four in Dublin three weeks ago. The ‘Iceman’ predictably goes into this match as the favourite at 4/6. While the ‘Bullet’ is bound to pick up points at some point, he’s the underdog against the Welshman at 6/5.
Nathan Aspinall vs Michael van Gerwen
The fourth quarter-final tie of the evening sees fan-favourite Nathan Aspinall take on the seven-time Premier League winner Michael van Gerwen. The Dutchman is yet to start firing on all cylinders but has shown signs of his best darts in brief spells throughout the Premier League campaign so far.
Both players currently occupy a spot in the top four, but neither have won an individual night. ‘The Asp’ has been defeated in two finals on Night Three and Night Five respectively, with ‘MVG’ not yet making a final appearance. While Van Gerwen isn’t in his best form, the ‘Green Machine’ is still the favourite to go through at 8/13, while Aspinall is 13/8.
Tournament Favourites
Understandably, Luke Littler is favourite to claim the Premier League title this year at 11/10, following his success in the competition last year as well as his recent PDC Championship title haul.
‘Cool Hand’ Luke Humphries narrowly trails ‘The Nuke’ at 7/4, followed by league-veteran Michael van Gerwen at 7/1. Gerwyn Price is 10/1, while Nathan Aspinall is 14/1, followed by ‘Voltage’ at 25/1. Chris Dobey and Stephen Bunting are outsiders to claim the title at 50/1 and 66/1 respectively.
