With just six games left to play in this campaign, the Premier League has reached the business end of proceedings, with still so much to play for in the English top-flight.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the Premier League..

We get the action underway on Sunday with a London Derby, with Chelsea making the very short trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham at 2pm, whilst Manchester United return to Old Trafford to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

Elsewhere, struggling Ipswich Town welcome a very confident Arsenal side to Portman Road, before Leicester City and Liverpool battle it out at the King Power Stadium at 4.30pm.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some betting angles for Sunday’s Premier League fixtures:

Fulham v Chelsea – Sunday, 2pm

  • Fulham conceded with just fifty-three seconds on the clock away to Bournemouth on Monday night, they failed to recover and suffered their third defeat in their last four games across all competitions.
  • Monday’s defeat would have hurt Marco Silva and co as they look to claim eighth spot in the league and hope that becomes a European spot for next season, they sit ninth of goal-difference, with themselves, Bournemouth and Brighton all on forty-eight points.
  • Fulham won the reverse fixture 2-1 on Boxing Day, it was their first win at Stamford Bridge since 1979, they’ve won just one meeting here since 2006, twelve meetings ago.
    ——————————–
  • Chelsea’s 100% record in the UEFA Conference League came to an end on Thursday night after a 2-1 defeat to Legia Warsaw despite being the heavy favourites on the betting market, luckily for the Blues, they had done enough in the first leg to set up a semi-final clash with Swedish side Djurgarden.
  • The Conference League is a trophy that Chelsea should be winning so their success so far hasn’t eased the pressure on Enzo Maresca, with the Chelsea faithful not convinced he’s the right man for the job, mainly due to their downfall in the Premier League.
  • The Blues had to come from two goals behind last weekend to take just a point off struggling Ipswich Town, a result which dropped them out of the top five as their UEFA Champions League ambitions start to deteriorate.

Prediction: Chelsea To Win, Fulham 1-2 Chelsea.

Manchester United v Wolverhampton Wanderers – Sunday, 2pm

  • Thursday night was a night that will go down in Manchester United’s rich history, one of the great European nights at Old Trafford. The Red Devils were cruising in their second leg fixture against Lyon when they went into the break 2-0 up, before two quick-fire goals for Lyon in the last twenty minutes silenced Old Trafford.
  • Lyon went into extra-time with 10 men which should have favoured United but remarkably the French side found two goals in extra-time and leading the tie 6-4 on aggregate with just six minutes left, that should have been that. But this is football, Bruno Fernandes gave United a glimmer of hope with his penalty before Kobbie Mainoo levelled the tie on the 120 minute mark, surely we’re going to penalties? Nope, Harry Maguire completed the near impossible just seconds later, United progress into the semi-final stage with a 7-6 victory.
  • If that doesn’t fill this side with confidence, i’m not sure what will, Ruben Amorim said some of the “kids” will get some Premier League time now as they focus on Europa League glory and saving their season.
    ——————————–
  • Wolves are in fine form right now ahead of their trip to Manchester on Sunday, they’ve won each of their last four Premier League games and have climbed up the table into sixteenth, just three points off Manchester United and Everton in thirteenth.
  • The Old Gold have a chance here to make it five victories in a row during a top-flight campaign, the last time they managed to do so was all the way back in December 1971.
  • Despite winning the reverse fixture on Boxing Day, Wolves have won just once here at Old Trafford in their last sixteen visits, whilst they’ve beaten United once in their last five meetings overall.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Man United To Win, Manchester United 2-1 Wolves.
