NFL Draft Betting Tips & Predictions (2025)

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year

The 2025 NFL Draft gets underway on Thursday 24th April and all eyes will be on Lambeau Field to see which college football star is selected with the first overall pick.

Before we get stuck into the best bets and tips for this year’s event, you can check out our extensive guide to the NFL Draft – with key information relating to team picks, draft order and early odds.

William Hill has a wide range of NFL odds for those looking to engage in some draft betting. The odds for the first overall pick have shortened considerably following reports the Tennessee Titans have told Cam Ward he will be selected.

There is greater uncertainty over whether Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter go second, while Shedeur Sanders remains something of an unknown even among draft experts.

The Ringer, for instance, have Ward as only the ninth-best prospect per their Big Board. There is plenty of talent at the top of this class, but the first 10 or so picks are relatively even, presenting the opportunity for some surprises. This could unlock some high-returns bets for NFL fans.

As ever, the potential for draft-night trades can really shake up draft boards. The New Orleans Saints are a candidate to trade up to land a quarterback, while the New England Patriots could look to trade down and secure multiple talents to put around Drake Maye.

Here are a few of the best bets:

Walter Nolen, Kenneth Grant & Donovan Jackson All To Be Drafted In The 1st Round – 15/4

Linemen are highly valued on both sides of the ball.

Walter Nolen and Kenneth Grant are interior defensive linemen with contrasting skillsets – the former is at his best rushing the passer, while Grant is a massive body with power. Donovan Jackson is a guard with the mix of stature and versatility to make him effective against the run and pass.

For the teams that miss out on Graham, Nolen and Grant are two of the next best options. Teams might be put off that Jackson was a guard rather than a tackle in college, but he still ranks in the top five offensive line options.

Shedeur Sanders To Be Drafted By The Giants & Ashton Jeanty To Be Drafted By The Bears – 11/1

The New York Giants need an answer at quarterback. Ward is off the board once they are on the clock, so do the G-men just go for the next best option in Shedeur Sanders?

It would be a controversial pick given Sanders’ limited physical tools and questionable upside. The Giants might be lured in by the glamour.

Rumours are circulating the Chicago Bears could trade up to land Ashton Jeanty. One of the most highly regarded running back prospects in recent memory, Jeanty could form a fearsome tandem with Caleb Williams.

It’s a move that makes sense for the Bears after seeing how dominant Saquon Barkley was for the Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles.

Jihaad Campbell To Be Drafted With The 15th Or 16th Overall Pick – 4/1

The Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals need to improve their edge defending. Jihaad Campbell has the archetypal lineback build with the athleticism to harass passers.

Across two seasons with the Crimson Tide, Campbell showed he’s still raw, however, with a tendency to be tricked by ball fakes and occasionally showing poor tackling fundamentals.

That might see him fall down a few draft boards and give either the Falcons or Cards an opportunity to pick up a high-upside defender midway through the first round.

Which Team Has the Most Picks in the 2025 NFL Draft?

The Jacksonville Jaguars, who are selecting fifth in the first round, have the most picks in the 2025 NFL draft. Jacksonville has 10 picks. Four other teams have nine picks.

The Jags need to retool drastically after going 4-13 in the 2024 NFL regular season. Both lines, the secondary, and receiver are weaknesses for the Jaguars at the moment, with Mason Graham looking like an ideal fit with the fifth overall pick.
