Now, let’s take a closer look at some betting angles for Saturday’s FA Cup fixture:

Crystal Palace v Aston Villa – Saturday, 5.15pm

  • Crystal Palace are yet to win the FA Cup, they reached the final back in 2016 but lost in extra-time against Manchester United, they are now just one game away from securing their third ever FA Cup final.
  • Oliver Glasner’s side are winless in their last four games but snatched a late equaliser away at Arsenal on Wednesday evening and despite those two defeats against Man City and Newcastle recently, they remain their only defeats in their last eleven competitive games.
  • The Eagles have a strong record of late against Aston Villa, they’ve not lost any of their last four meetings with victories coming in three of those, including their last meeting just two months ago, in which Palace thumped Villa 4-1 in the Premier League.
    ——————————–
  • It’s been sixty-eight years since Aston Villa last won the FA Cup, it’s long overdue for a club of this size and those Villa faithful will be hoping Unai Emery is the man make history, victory in this one would secure just their second FA Cup final since 2000.
  • The Villans suffered heartbreak at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night after conceding a late goal against Manchester City with both sides looking to secure a UEFA Champions League spot for next season, it’s not ideal with just four games left to play but they’ve got the perfect opportunity to restore that “feel good factor” within camp here.
  • FA Cup games at Wembley can tend to be played with much cautious from both sides but i think we could be in for goals here on Saturday, given eight of the last ten meetings between these two sides in all competitions have seen both teams hit the back of the net.

Prediction: Match To Go To Penalties – Yes (24/5 – *odds subject to change – prices correct at the time of writing*)
