The Premier League Darts rolls on into Night 14 where Leeds’ First Direct Arena will play host on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

With just a handful of nights remaining before the playoff showdown at The O2 in London, every leg counts from here on in.

Tournament Format

The Premier League Darts operates on a league system, with players earning points based on their performance each night. The top four players at the end of the league phase will advance to the playoffs, culminating in the final at The O2 arena in London on May 29.

Rob Cross v Gerwyn Price

Rob Cross and Gerwyn Price meet again following one of the matches of the season during their clash in Cardiff on Night 7. With the score level at 5-5, Cross produced a stunning 170 checkout to win the match 6-5.

Wayne Mardle is expecting more big finishes and fancies At Least One 170 Checkout in the Quarter-Final Session, available at an enhanced price of 9/2. Could we see it in the opening match of the night?

Cross is priced at 13/10 to win, with Price the favourite at 8/13. However, the winner of this quarter-final may not be celebrating for long, as they’ll go on to face either Nathan Aspinall or Luke Littler in the next round.

Nathan Aspinall v Luke Littler

Aspinall sits fifth in the table, just one point behind Michael van Gerwen in the race for those all-important top four spots – a position that could give him extra motivation. However, he may have been hoping for a different opponent in his opening quarter-final.

Luke Littler enters the match full of confidence, having already secured his qualification for the O2.

Littler is the clear odds-on favourite to win the quarter-final at 2/7, but could there be an upset on the cards? With the pressure off Littler and Aspinall still chasing points, the dynamic could shift. Aspinall is priced at 13/5.

Wayne Mardle’s pick of Each Of The 8 Players Over 1 180 In The Quarter Final Session is boosted to 3/1 and we can’t see these two letting the side down on that front.

Michael van Gerwen v Luke Humphries

Michael van Gerwen has been rather inconsistent and currently sits fourth in the table. He’s very much in need of points to secure his place at the O2.

Luke Humphries’ scoring power may prove too much for MVG, especially after posting a three-dart average of 107.46 in his quarter-final against Gerwyn Price in Birmingham last Thursday.

Wayne Mardle’s pick for Night 14 is Luke Humphries to be the outright winner – originally priced at 7/2, but we’re enhancing his odds to 9/2.

MVG is 11/8 to beat Humphries, while Humphries is the 4/7 favourite.

Stephen Bunting v Chris Dobey

Stephen Bunting and Chris Dobey currently occupy the bottom two spots in the Premier League table and whoever loses this one will almost certainly see their play-off hopes to disappear – if they haven’t already.

Stephen Bunting is the 4/5 favourite, but the market is very tight, with Chris Dobey available at even-money (EVS). Given Dobey has shown more promise in recent weeks, a bet on him at EVS could prove the better value.

Tournament Favourites

Understandably, Luke Littler is the odds-on favourite to claim the Premier League title this year at 10/11, following his success in the competition last year as well as his recent PDC Championship title haul. ‘Cool Hand’ Luke Humphries narrowly trails ‘The Nuke’ at 9/4, followed by Gerwyn Price at 11/2. League veteran Michael van Gerwen is 8/1. Nathan Aspinall has lengthened out to 16/1, while Rob Cross has drifted further to 40/1. Chris Dobey and Stephen Bunting are outsiders to claim the title at 66/1 and 200/1 respectively.
