When Does Love Island 2025 Start?
OFFICIAL: The 2025 series of Love Island will return to television screens on Monday 9th June.
Millions of fans tune in to watch Love Island every year and we are now just days away from the opening show of season 12, which will premiere on Monday 9th June 2025.
Based on previous years, the series typically airs within the first week of June but this year’s show will get underway a little later than usual, with 9pm on Monday 9th June officially locked in.
With a decade of coupling-up chaos, bombshells and plenty of turning heads, Love Island has been a regular feature on our television screens for some time now and this year’s series could be the best yet.
Who Will Host Love Island In 2025?
Maya Jama has confirmed her return as the show’s host for the upcoming season, dispelling rumours about her departure.
She stated on Instagram: “I will be presenting Love Island and have no plans to leave right now. I filmed the promo a couple of days ago actually. Fake news is fake news-ing as usual.”
The presenter replaced Laura Whitmore ahead of season nine and fans will be thrilled to hear that Maya Jama, currently dating Manchester City star Ruben Dias, is to headline the show once again.
Who Will Narrate Love Island In 2025?
Whitmore’s husband Iain Stirling has been the show’s narrator since the show’s inception in 2015 and he is expected to continue as the Love Island voiceover despite a number of rumours on social media.
Last month, a TikTok account, posing as Ian, claimed he had quit the series – much to the dismay of the show’s loyal fanbase.
The account wrote: “It’s been a hectic few months for me and the team having to go back and forth on my decisions. I have quit being a voiceover for Love Island UK, however I will still be carrying on for the USA version.
“Making this decision wasn’t easy and Love Island UK will always have a special spot in my heart, words cannot describe how much love I have for every one of you and I wish best for the next voiceover [sic].”
Stirling has made the narrator role his own over the past decade and it’s hard to envision anyone else as the voiceover.
How Can I Watch Love Island 2025?
Fans should expect this year’s series to air on ITV2 and ITVX, and STV2 and STV Player for viewers in Scotland, as per the previous series of the show.
The upcoming season is expected to run for eight weeks, which would mean the final would take place on Monday 4th August 2025. Expect a statement from ITV in the near future regarding an official Love Island end date for 2025.
